Gordon Terry CHAMBERLAIN

Gordon was a collector of East Africa, African airmail and the post-independence secessionist Congolese states. In 2015, aged 93, he joined the BCSC. He told me that he was finding it difficult to be as active as he once was and the sale of his Congolese material was the main reason for joining. For many years he was also a member of the East African Study Circle. Both study circles lost contact with Gordon during 2016. After making enquiries, sadly, we discovered that he had passed away peacefully at Altrincham, England on the 7th February 2017, aged 95. Our sincere condolences go to his daughters Vicky, Steph and Katy
